Always a learner, Gauri has 25+ years of experience in delving deep into audience psyche and a lifetime of being curious as an Advertising & Brand Communications professional.
An alumna of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management where she honed analytical thinking, people skills and a strategic mind, Gauri trained as a copywriter with some of the master crafters in the advertising industry. This distinct aptitude led her to work in a host of outcome oriented functions with top multinational advertising agencies and media houses in creative as well as strategy led roles such as Mudra, Law & Kenneth, Saatchi & Saatchi, JWT, The Times of India and Zee Media Group, amongst others.
In her previous roles, Gauri has been responsible for managing high performance teams to conceptualize and execute projects and campaigns on global platforms, strategizing to internalise ‘brand cultures’, co-owning brand vision and growth, managing business relationships at senior levels, and delivering 360 consumer interactions for clients across categories; most significantly - FMCG, Airlines, Telecom, Automobiles, Farm/Agri and Media. Some of the high decibel campaigns that she has worked on include the re-launch of DNA and dittoTV, brand launch campaigns including Fiama Di Wills, Vivel Di Wills, Go Air, Reliance Energy, OZEE.com (now Zee5), Ranka Jewellers, Eurokids and Impact.Science. She has also been a creative lead for multi-country campaign for Sunsilk and Lux.
Gauri’s personal love for design has led her to partner with Chandan Mahimkar Design Studio for their brands such as The Tanjore Tiffin Room, Favela, WTF!, The Butler & The Bayleaf, Sassy Spoon and House of Mandarin.
Gauri has been part of the Mahindra AFS Innovations team, helping create and frame their now adopted, robust innovation insights framework. She has also contributed to their cache of strategy tools with a Zero Spend Marketing framework.
As time turns into what is now known as ‘Post Covid Normal’, Gauri helps the studio's clients navigate the dynamically evolving circumstances of business models and business conversations. These include both small and large businesses. She also takes great delight in engaging more and more with communication and design students to see how they map their journeys through a vast digital universe.
